At the YMCA of the Fox Cities, we believe in nurturing the whole person — and that includes the creative spark inside every child, teen, and adult. Our arts, music, and education programs give you a place to explore, create, and grow in ways that matter. From fine arts and dance to music lessons, environmental science, and leadership development, there’s something here for every curious mind. Whether your child is drawn to the canvas, the stage, the outdoors, or the Capitol steps, our programs offer something meaningful. Each one is led by caring instructors and grounded in the Y’s values.
Fine Arts for Every Age
Imagination knows no bounds at the Y. Our art classes serve students ages 4 and up — from preschool classes that spark creativity through hands-on exploration, to youth classes where young artists build skills and confidence, to teen and adult sessions where you can dive into diverse mediums and connect with fellow creatives. Specialty one-day workshops are also available for ages 6 and up, perfect for both beginners and experienced creators looking to try something new.
Education & Leadership
From safety training programs that teach young people how to protect and save lives, to Youth in Government’s hands-on experience at the State Capitol, our education and leadership programs challenge participants to think bigger and act with purpose. At the Y, we believe every person has the potential to make a positive difference — and we’re here to help them discover it.
Music Lessons for Every Stage of Life
Whether you’re a beginner picking up an instrument for the first time or building on years of experience, our music lessons are tailored to your goals. With personalized instruction, a welcoming environment, and instructors who make learning fun, the Y is the place to find — or rediscover — your love of music. Lessons are available for children and adults alike.

Our programs serve a wide range of ages. Art classes start at age 4, music lessons are available for children and adults, dance is open to all ages and abilities, and Youth in Government is designed for students in grades 7–12. Check each program page for specific age requirements.
Members receive priority registration and reduced rates on programs. Non-members are welcome to register as well. If cost is a concern, our Membership for All assistance program may be able to help.
Programs are offered at various YMCA of the Fox Cities locations throughout the Fox Cities area. Some programs, like Environmental Education, also take place at the Bruce B. Purdy Nature Preserve and in local schools. Visit each program page for location details.
