Our licensed Preschool and Pre-Kindergarten Readiness programs provide children with developmentally appropriate experiences in a hands-on discovery environment — one that encourages children to explore, examine, and solve problems while building the confidence and skills they’ll carry into kindergarten and beyond. Our 4K Wrap-Around Care is a convenient option for families in the Appleton, Hortonville, Kimberly, and Kaukauna school districts who need licensed care before or after school, offering children a stress-free transition in a fun and engaging environment. All programs are state-licensed and staffed by trained, caring youth development professionals.
Before You Register — Complete Your Child's Profile
As state-licensed programs, all Y Preschool, Pre-K Readiness, and 4K Wrap-Around programs require a completed child profile prior to registration. The profile collects required licensing information including immunization records, physician contact details, and emergency contacts. Plan for 25–35 minutes to complete it, and save your work frequently. You will not be able to register until all profile questions are complete — we recommend finishing it before registration day so you can register the moment spots open at 6:00 AM.
How to Complete Your Child's Profile
Log in to your online YMCA account. Click “View Account” from the drop-down menu in the upper right corner. Navigate to the Membership box on the left side of your screen, then click the edit pencil next to your child’s name. Enter the requested information into each field, clicking Save Changes at the bottom frequently. The profile can be updated at any time, and information is stored for future registrations.

Preschool programs serve children ages 3–5 depending on location. Pre-K Readiness programs are for children ages 4–5. Check the Daxko program listing or contact your preferred location for current openings.
4K Wrap-Around Care provides licensed before- and after-school care for children enrolled in a school district’s 4K program. It offers a stress-free, fun environment during hours outside of the school day.
4K Wrap-Around Care is available for families in the Appleton, Hortonville, Kimberly, Kaukauna, and Little Chute school districts, depending on location. Registration dates vary by district and occur after each district places children in their 4K classrooms.
