Native Seed Collecting
Date
Wed, Oct 21
Make the most of your summer gardening efforts. Join us for a hands-on workshop where you’ll learn how to properly save native seeds for future planting — a satisfying, sustainable skill that pays off season after season.
This practical, hands-on workshop will walk you through the art and science of native seed collecting — from identifying which seeds are ready to harvest, to cleaning, drying, and storing them properly for next year’s garden. Native seeds are a powerful tool for supporting local ecosystems, attracting pollinators, and reducing the cost of restocking your garden each season. Whether you’re an experienced gardener or just getting started, you’ll leave with new skills, useful tips, and seeds of your own to take home.
Meeting Location: Apple Creek YMCA.
Registration Deadline: October 20.
